New project

Uh oh.
I predict another "Thinking about..." thread from The @Ted. After all, the shop is ready now.

Nah. I need to:

- finish the shop
- finish the cobra
- get the rx7 running’s and racing
- fix the rx7 after I break it racing (x100)
- do an engine swap in the Land Rover
- rebuild the engine on the 1947 C4 dozer
- make the electric front AC work on the Rv

I’m sure I’m forgetting some things

So what were you planning to do after Thursday? :D

@Timbeck2 , that shop is in town. They barged the loader to town for the rebuild. We are working 12 hour shifts, 3 on days and 3 on nights. Job should take around 4 weeks. 6 people X 12 hours a day X 30 days to completion. About 2160 man hours, is an approximant number of manhours for the rebuild. ...

This is a pic of the planetary for the wheel end. The brakes are spring applied, hydraulic released. The springs exert an amazingly strong amount of force on the brake friction discs.

I am beyond impressed. I can barely change a lightbulb. Genuinely impressed with you folks giving new life to old machines.

Well we pretty much finished the loader rebuild Friday. Started the project 3-30-21 done 4-23-21. Here are a few pictures of the loader and the test run we did digging in a gravel quarry not far from the shop we did the rebuild at.

2 shifts, 12 hours a day, 3 men on each crew. New 1.5M, rebuild cost $450,000 + or - a few penny's ...

For a savings of approximately...
