Got mine a few days ago. Was fatigued and tired a couple days. Reading all this, seems common. So, @WannFly , was the spelling of dose in the thread title a typo? Or pun intended?

Lol, typo.

Well I did a antibody test and I have like 80.8 units of whatever it is. >15 is positive. So either it’s the shot or I had COVID at some point and I don’t know. 2nd shot due Thursday

We got the moderna shot #1 yesterday. I was up early Sat morning and checked for appointments and apparently Sat morning is when Walgreens releases them. So two appointments made for the next day.

Arm is sore, but no more than the last time I had the flu shot.

Some of the larger medical groups in our town are doing the shots. Get on their websites for more info. Or, call the local offices where they are doing the shots and get an appointment. Unlike the county-run agencies, these places don't care about phases; call for an appointment and they will stick a needle in as many arms as they can. One group did about 2500 doses on Saturday. My neighbor, a nurse, gave over 100 on her shift.

I got #1 last Thursday. Arm felt a little tender at the injection site afterwards. Friday it felt like I had been punched in the arm, Saturday it felt normal.

Got J&J yesterday at 4pm. Zero side effects. Not even a sore arm. Did they really inject me or was it placebo?:D

My dad is 75 and got Moderna #1 on Saturday, sore arm was it.

I got my second Pfizer shot on March 11, so it's been eleven days. As with my first shot the injection site was sore for about 24 hours, but I also had a mild headache this time. Headaches are very rare for me, so I think it was a side-effect of the second shot. It wasn't bad enough to take medication for it.

Wife and I got the second dose (Phizer) today. No side effects yet. neighbor got the second yesterday. He got mild chills and headache for a couple hours in the middle of the night. His wife had no side effects at all.

I got an email today that started "Hi - Thanks for getting the first dose of the C******* vaccine."

Really? Do they think that by replacing "ovid19" with all stars that it creates "privacy"? Ridiculous.

It might fool someone snooping on your email and not counting stars accurately into thinking it meant "Chlamydia" So there's that.

Dedicated thread for the trip incoming next month w/ video blog of the crossings, plus some internal PR tourism footage for those interested. Tentative departure circa mid/late April. 10 day duration. Now back on thread topic. Cheers!

Just saw this. That's gonna be an incredible trip! Look forward to seeing the thread.

Got my first Pfizer jab a couple of hours ago at a mass vaccination site North of Atlanta. The whole thing only took 15 minutes.

I got my first dose and told my daughter, "I hope I get a good superpower and not something dumb like being able to talk to fish." She said, "Immunity is a hell of a superpower."
What'd your fish say?

Nauga,
who speaks a little Finnish

You’re under selling the opportunity... you should’ve asked for a Babel Fish

Maryland opened up Phase 2A today so my bride and I got the Moderna vaccine on day one. Easy peasy, no line from walk in to shot ten minutes, then we had to sit and be observed for 15 minutes. Good to go, waiting on email for the second shot.

One thing I like about the health-care organization I use is that they had a person with a roll-around terminal making second-dose appointments during the 15-minute observation period.

Anyone do the Johnson and Johnson? Quincy IL is about 2.5 hours flight but I'd have to stay a couple days unless I bring another pilot along for the flight back. Might be worth it to be one and done and work a mini vacation into it.

Just got mine on Sunday. Didn’t have any side effects. Not even a sore arm. My friend got J&J a few weeks ago and had the chills and couldn’t really sleep at night.

So I got 1 shot of Moderna last Thursday. Felt crappy on Friday, a bit off on Saturday and fine by Sunday. I'm a pretty serious cyclist, and had a few days off after the shot due to family commitments and some bad weather. Went out today for an easy ride and felt fine for the first 30 minutes. After that, it was like some took a 2x4 to my butt. Intense muscle pain, similar to what you feel in the area where you get the shot. Any other athletic types have a similar experience? I've taken training breaks before, but never had pain like this on an easy ride.

I'll let you know, I like to cycle, got 1st "doze" pfizer yesterday, arm sore this morning, plus felt a little off, decided to stand down from exercise for at least 48 hours.

2nd Pfizer Thursday. No side effects at all, zero. Strangely, I did have some strong flu-like symptoms after the first one.

First Pfizer dose was a non-event. Second dose last Wednesday kicked my butt for about 48 hours - like having a medium-grade flu and fatigue. I felt like someone had beaten me with a cheater pipe!

I had my second Pfizer this morning, I'm a little fatigued, but we were up late last night as well.

Second Pfizer scheduled for Tuesday afternoon

My first miserable night on the day of Pfizer #2, I not only had aches n' pains, but also had weird, fitful dreams. Most prominent was dreaming that ants were in the bed and the pillow I was laying on was a dog - no kidding! It was so real that when I got up to pee I had to take stock of my situation to understand none of it was real.

Hmmm.

I'm scheduled for my second Pfizer on Friday. Now you have me thinking it might remind me of my college days.... :)

Got the J and J single shot Friday. Tired friday night, but otherwise no other issue. My sister and brother in law got the same shot at the same clinic, and they were in bed for 24 hours with fatigue, chills, etc. They are ok now on Sunday.

My second Pfizer shot was like the first (soreness at the injection site for about 36 hours), except I also had a mild headache after the second. I rarely have headaches, so assume it was a side effect of the vaccine. I was actually a little disappointed the symptoms were so mild.
