Currently I wear plastic framed Rayban style frames. For yardwork I wear headset style hearing protection and fly with Bose A20. What I find is that the pressure of these bend the plastic such that they want to fall off my face easily after a few weeks. I desire to not lose my glasses in flight and want them to stop falling off my face when I lean over. I am thinking of getting some style of cable temple eyeglasses, not sure what else to consider.

What style frames do you favor and why?
Cable tipped, normal, or straight temples?
Metal or plastic frames?
Nosepad on bridge or no?

let me know your vote, I'll count up the Ayes and Nays...

Not sure of the style but I have heard very good things about Flying Eyes. The temple frames are so thin and flexible that apparently they can be under an over the ear headset like the Bose A20 and not be an issue. I fly with sunglasses from Dualeyewear.com. They have worked fine for me and are far less expensive than the Flying eyes and they also have the bifocal lens which I need.

I’d go with this...an in-ear headset works best with glasses of any kind.

Short of that, if you want to stick with your Bose, I’d get a pair of glasses with the thinnest temples possible, and have a “flying” pair and a “regular” pair.

somebody used to make a tapered piece to slip over your eyeglass temples that would ease the headset cup transition to prevent gaps.
