SWMBO suggested a run down the East coast of FL. Was thinking of going to Marathon to get some view of the Keys. I've gone as far as PBI a lot, but nothing further. Is there a "scenic route" that hugs the coast going south? Thinking low (1,000ft) along the beach with all the skyscrapers as a backdrop. Goes through multiple Class D, C and B airspace which is the part I'm wondering about. With no knowledge, I'd pick up FF and let them know what I want, which usually works.
Wondering if there is a local way to ask or a route?

I did DAB to MTH along the coast most of the way and was sent right over the top of FLL and MIA at something like 3,000. Was pretty damn cool. I thought there was a shoreline route but I don't see anything on the flyway chart. You can go under the Bravo shelf at 1,000 feet and stay completely clear of Class B if you wanted to.

PBI in the past if VFR has had you transition low along the cost like 1000 and below or 500 and below, or directly over the field. There is a lot of airspace down there as you mentioned but in my experience down there they have been fairly accommodating.

There is a stadium-sized TFR over Mar-A-Lago when he’s on site, same as the other ones over ex-presidents’ houses.
Not anymore. The small one was in effect for a short time, now there is not one at all.

I used to do that all the time, staying just offshore and below any airspace that would require talking to ATC.

As an aside, if done as a sunset flight, flying back above Miami’s Class B airspace - which only goes to 7,000’ - provides a pretty spectacular view on a clear night.

If you're going to Marathon, you might as well go all the way down to Key West.

Yes, it ended 2 days ago at noon.

I guess I don't understand why, but there's also no TFR over the Obama house in Martha's Vineyard. There is one over George and Laura's house in Dallas or the Crawford ranch when they're there. Perhaps it's something a former president can opt out of?

My usual tour would fly over the Port of Miami to see the cruise ships, descend below 1,000’ to stay below Miami’s Class B and fly along the Miami skyline, fly over the Seaquarium and do a loop of Key Biscayne, including the nude beach at Shark Cut.

I just looked on Google Earth and the heliport for Nixon’s Southern White House is still there as well.

Maybe they only get 1 for their primary residence, isn’t Trump a NY resident? Obamas is Chicago?

it moves - Crawford was active a few days ago, now it's back to Dallas. There isn't a TFR active in Chicago, but I think the Obamas are living in Washington.

Regardless, I'd keep a close eye on Palm Beach if I were flying there.
