I like them. I did a combined 135 PIC ride and my ATP ride with two hours in type. No bad manners, comfortable, much better control harmonization than the Seneca. But, I truly do not recall the useful load. Not sure about the MTX burden.
 
And even then you better find a couple of lightweight friends for the two rearmost seats.

Or women. I've occasionally taken six in an A36TC, but three were always girlfriends, etc. Seem to remember having about two hours of range in such a situation, but that was quite some time ago.
 
1) Isn't there some sort of AD out on the 206 which functionally makes many of them 5 seats now? Or, at least, it is advisable to keep them at 5 for safety purposes?

2) 206s are rather slow for something with that fuel burn.

2) Yes, 155ktas at 18gph. I like my 206, but would never confuse it with a sleek aircraft.

206 on straight floats, or amphibs is about the best looking plane made, if you are a freak from central BC Canada.

Cessna gave them huge, very useable doors. Then some jerk offs complain because they don't open with the flaps down. So then put the flaps up you lazy pri.....

What use case would there exist to having to open the door with the flaps down anyway, during normal ops? Outside of some low wing planes where you want to discourage n00bs from stepping on the flaps is there any reason you wouldn't generally leave them "up" in a high wing?

Since they're electric flaps, the concern is outside of normal ops. I.e emergency landing with flaps down and then everyone needs to GTFO of the plane ASAP.

Never used one so I'm not sure but it looks like the fwd door of the aft double door can opened far enough that the aft door can be opened all the way with the flaps down.

That’s exactly what Cessna did. The inboard portion of the right flap is slightly shorter than the left to allow the forward door to open just enough to clear the aft door with the flaps down.
 
Pilawt, that (nap) sales picture is a hoot. I'll bet they have the pilot/co-pilot seats all the way forward on the rails, too.
 
IDK, after reading everything on this thread my mind keeps saying, Cessna 314. Just saying. True 6 passengers, pretty quick, pressurized and reasonably priced. To me, trying to haul around 6 souls with one fan? No thanks

It’s called a Navaho.
Ever heard of a “zero fuel, maximum gross weight “?
The DPE that did my CMELi check ride gigged me on my oral for not knowing the zero fuel weight of the test Aztec. He even retrieved a copy from another plane to put in the flight manual of the test plane. He claimed he was working fo Piper on the Aztec line when the Navaho was also being sold. He claimed that the zero fuel weight was to increase the Navaho sales as they were being hurt by the Aztec.
He claimed also to have flown air taxi in the Bahamas in Aztecs. He said they’d carry the reserves in the outboard tanks, and just enough to fly the leg in the mains. Then put 5 Phatt people In the seats and all the cargo they could close the doors on.
I once flew it from Hattiesburg, Ms to Eagle Lake, Tex with 6 men, and gear to goose hunt for a weekend. We called it the AzTruck...I’ve flown several. Love ‘em, ....as long as the heaters work! When I checked out in a Navaho. I thought it was a phatt, heavy Aztec...

Correct. But some people just need something petty to complain about. If I were fortunate enough to own a 206, and someone complained about that to me, they would be left behind.
