I was watching an old McCloud TV Detective movie from the 70’s. Part of the Colombo, McCloud, MacMillan and Wife rotation of shows.

McCloud is returning from somewhere to NYC.

The first shot shows a tail view of 707 coming over the fence. Next shot is a belly view of a B-52 gear touching down and the final is a 747 docked at the jet bridge. Couldn’t find it on YouTub.

Nothing like using cheap stock footage.

Cheers

Sounds like the director was the Ed Wood of cheesy 1970s detective shows.

However.......... I loved the shot of the DC-4 taking off from HNL in the High and the Mighty. Too bad Hollywood can't make accurate portrayals. But there are a few.

As long as they didn't switch up his horse it'll be okay. ;)

I remember one of those hour long detective shows from the 70s where the bad guys got in a 172, both in the front seats when the guy in the pilot seat reached back and closed the door to the cockpit......o_O

That would be the special edition, cabin class 172. @Pilawt will be along shortly with pictures and specifications of that obscure, limited production Cessna. :D

Believe or not, I think there was a Colombo show like that. IIRC, The bad guy pilot was Johnny Cash. He drugged his Pax, bailed out and the 172 augered in killing the two Pax. Colombo later caught him, of course.

If you’re wondering how I know all this useless info, I’ve been watching these shows in the background and avoiding any news or so-called daytime “entertainment” while working in the hangar:D.

Cheers

I have been catching episodes of ''Adam-12'' lately. Not particularly for the edge of your seat action, but to look at all the old cars. Who would believe that AMC once made police cars.??

The morphing continues. McCloud left on a TWA 707 and arrived on a United 747.

Cheers

I can’t stay away from this:confused:

They load up in a PanAm 747, which becomes a TWA 727 on takeoff which turns back into the 747 in flight and landing:D

Cheers
