Mine was high. Urologist directed me for MRI. All of which was normal. Which takes me back to the high PSA. Could this be a problem for my class 2?

many things can cause a high PSA reading other than an elarged prostate. suggest you consult your urologist about them and get a re-test.

Also, did you have more than one test? A little trauma (specifically the DRE) can cause a transient high PSA.

High PSA for 15 years. Four biopsies and an MRI later, all negative. I’m tired of being violated down there. :(

Yup, this apparently happens. It's to the point that my GP gave me the option of getting the PSA test.

A single PSA is just a number, though 6.0 is enough to get the Docs attention. I imagine they will tell you to come back for another test to see if it caused by a testing error or another factor. If you have ever had a previous test they will be looking for the acceleration rate which is how fast it is increasing which is a good measure of its aggressiveness. Get to an experienced doc who knows things, and get multiple opinions before deciding what to do next.

I understand it's a little easier with the FAA these days but when I joined the club they were not friendly to pilots above 5.0 who for whatever reason did not follow conventional treatments. Bruce should be able to tell you wat their triggers are these days.

FWIW, there are lot of us that have walked that path before, you are not alone in this journey.

No it was a 6.0
If there is no diagnosis of Prostate Ca and attempts were made, this is a nonissue. Even if there is a diagnosis of Prostate CA, if the Urologist is advocating "watchful waiting" that is okay though it is a special issuance, requiring annual follow up reports.
