I really figured after 2,000 hours and growing up around this, that I could answer a question like this, but I guess not :)

What did I do wrong or is the test question wrong in the study material?

Field Elevation for the problem is 1,135’.

...hmm I had a response but after looking more closely, I didn’t come up with the right answer either :confused:

Like @Floyd said, go to the reference line before you start following the curve.

What’s the other figure that is referenced in the question? Was there an altimeter setting to go with the field elevation? Altitude for these charts is normally Pressure Altitude.
 
It was just a approach chart for the purpose of you having to find basic field elevation.

I understand now that it works when you go to the reference line but I guess I don’t understand why there is a reference line and still lines to the left of it. Either way; I accept it.. haha

Who knows? Maybe 22,000 kg was the target weight they used for flight testing.

as you noted, though, it is what it is, and you use what they give you. ;)
