Can't get on the Cessna172Club. Com site to ask.
Has any one a useful link to follow ?
Gauges worked some what when I first got aircraft in December of 2018
Now just empty.
Thanks

Take the lead off at the sender. Put a multimeter on it and look at the Ohms.

These gauges are 0 to 190 ohms IIRC. So if you have a half tank of fuel, you should see about 80 ohms resistance.

Do a google search, there are videos. Google “ troubleshooting fuel sender”.

These used on aircraft are pretty standard with automotive.

Tom

Can you use the original fuel guages with those or do they have to be upgraded as well?

I think, a new system must be installed.

check with the manufacturer

None of those appear to be certified parts, unless I'm missing something.

Looks like McFarlane sells brand new transmitters, I have no idea how good they are. I'd start by inspecting the wiring, especially tightness and corrosion on terminals.

We are on the second year of ownership of an Aerospace logic FL202D instrument connected to two Cies senders, they are fantastic.
