Sure hearing a lot of singles flying over the house these days.

Y’all must be out flying.

Wasn’t “9/11 quiet” out here on the prairie but was definitely quieter for a while.

By the sound of it, both on the deck and on LiveATC, things here are as busy as they usually were, other than the mass push to train for the “pilot shortage”.

Also post after post of new ratings earned on social media appears to be back in pretty close to full swing.

How’s your area sounding? Gettin’ buzzzzzed with those hot singles? LOL

We just went nearly three days without seeing or hearing a single aircraft of any sort. No pistons, no jets, no flying eggbeaters.

Of course we were at Yellowstone, maybe that had something to do with it...

GA and road traffic is approaching normal in SoCal. Gridlock on the 405 on my way home yesterday. I hear aircraft overhead at home a lot more frequently in the last 2 weeks or so.

My sleepy little home ‘drome never really slowed down. New student starts have been steady or increasing all year long.

Judging from the available supply of airplanes on Controller and Trade a Plane, a lot of people have bought new ones and are going flying. Plus a lot of people have extra money they haven't spent otherwise and are turning that money into noise.

No change in my area. Only slowed down for a month or so while the local flying club shut down per governor’s orders. Local flight schools are busier than ever.

^^^This.

Our Club's flight training unit set an all time record for flight hours in June when the government allowed us to re-open for training. Our rental hours have been pretty good too. We blew through those hours and set another record in July. When the government shut us down in April we were wondering if we were going to survive the year.

The hundred dollar hamburger is coming backing my area. Traffic seems to be picking up.

Our GA piston activity hasn't changed much, other than a 2-month lull in flight instruction during the worst of the pandemic in NY. The turbine traffic dropped off the map for awhile, but now that the college is back in session, the jet traffic has picked up again. But without college athletics this fall, turbine traffic won't come completely back to where it was. Flight instruction and the glider club are back in full swing. It's good to see aviation activity pick up at the local airport.

Just looking at our monthly airport budget reports, our 100LL sales are way ahead of schedule this fiscal year (lots of bored piston owners/pilots?), but Jet-A sales are way down. So the budget matches what I'm seeing overhead.

I live 3.2nm from KHCR perfectly lined up for RWY 22 so I see and hear a lot of traffic

Nothing going on at KCDK.....but then it’s NOTAM’d closed. :(

Lift Academy, the ab initio school for Republic Airline, is back at full force, last calls and all.

I am retired so spend a lot of time at the hangar, but when I’m at home, I. Two and a half miles from the end of the runway, so I’m usually aware of air traffic. There is a LOT given the size of out airport. Covid sure isn’t slowing it down.

There are plenty of singles, but a few small turbo props and four Citations on the field. A pretty good supply of light twins too.

Does my heart good to see so much flying.

People are flying a LOT in the DFW area. The controllers I work with for aerial photography missions in the surface B have told me that while airliner travel is down, the patterns at the satellite fields have been quite busy throughout. I think that's a good thing.
