Why are avionics shops in the Northeast so much busier than shops in the Southeast right now? I had one shop in Florida offering me financial incentives to put our airplane in sooner than we had originally planned. On the other hand, I've been ignored by a few shops in the NE, and the ones that did give me the time of day are booked deep into the fall.

Maybe the one shop in Florida sux so hard the only way they can get customers is by bribing them. Perhaps the shops in the North are really good and have all the business they can handle because of it.

Having slow schedules was common to all the shops I talked to in Florida, only one tried to bribe me.

I was supposed to be in on July 15th...got pushed...now cant get a response from the shop...customer service is a lost art.

Where is the shop located? I got ignored or ghosted by a few different shops in the northeast. One of the deciding factors for the shop I chose was their great communication and service.

Which shop was that? feel free to PM me.

I went very local. If I have a follow up problem, won’t have far to go. Since I’m a minimalist, I went with two G5’s and a GPS-175.
