I will likely need to find a mechanic for the pre-buy of a Carbon Cub with a CC363i engine.

Any ideas?

I know some mechanics in the area, but that sounds like a rather unique engine.

Are you local or are you looking to get this done remotely to ensure it’s worth your time to travel?

Not local to the Phoenix area, we are in NE Utah. The owner has two local A&P’s he uses and has recommended them. He is in the industry and has no value in hiding anything from us, normally it seems you take your own guy, but in this case I might use his recommendation as it is a unique engine as you pointed out.

You’re talking FFZ, right?
That is correct.

Harald Govers at FFZ might, he only does weekdays, 480 330 0138

If his recommendation is the guy who worked on it and has the initials DR" with the R sounding like a criminal, then find another mechanic.

????

I bought my plane from FFZ. The mechanic that did the pre buy was the same mechanic that has been "working" on it since the last owner. To protect the guilty, I chose to use his initials instead of a name.

Performance One on the field perhaps. Heath is a good guy, not sure how familiar they are with the type but it sounds up their alley.
