Bro do you even lift
anyone been to one of these? there's one coming up here in NC and figure I might check it out. I have a feeling it'll be one big sales pitch by each vendor but there still might be some cool shiznit to look at.

Since it’s my home airport I’ll probably be there. Not expecting a huge turnout since the airport hasn’t even mentioned it to the tenants.

I love how it says Raleigh, North Carolina.... uhhhh Thats Sanford, NC

Our airport doesn’t recognize its affiliation with Sanford

I've been to 3 of them in the past 5 years when the roadshow visits the Bay Area. Fun to dream about new aircraft and kick the tires. Of the list of exhibitors about 2/3's actually show up in my experience.

yeah that's what I figure as well. they had a coupl'a videos from prior events and they have like 1 plane from each vendor, none of which I'll ever be able to buy. but I'll still try to check it out. oh and also drink @Grum.Man 's beer.

I don't think I would ever buy a turboprop (too expensive for my net worth), or a new Mooney (too expensive for the value), but a new Waco sounds tempting. Heck I didn't realize they were still making those. Some of those expos had other semi-realistic options, like Icon A5.

There used to be an LSA-oriented expo in Denver, in the heyday of the LSA hype of 2011-2012. That was pretty fun too, and the airplanes were almost affordable, even made sense. @murphey helped to run it. If someone started it up again, I'd be up to a visit.

I don't think there are going to be any new Mooneys to buy.

if I learned one thing from this expo it's that I want a TBM and a Pilatus and a Piper M600 and a Kodiak and a Cirrus and a Carbon Cub and a Honda Jet. they can keep the tecnam.

I only give jets a passing glance at those expos and focus on more affordable airplanes.

Here's an Icon:

And a Waco - old biplane with new panel:

So a high wing was your second choice - hmmm?

Out of eman1200's list I think I'd be between the M600 and the TBM. When it was still the Meridian with no payload I was firmly in the TBM camp but the 600 tugs at my Piper affinity...

Either way I need that Nigerian prince that I gave my checking account number to finally give me my inheritance because there's nobody else in my family that's going to kick the bucket and leave me that kind of coin. :(

And I don't like enough humans to need a PC-12 :D

I like the Tecan 2600T. On top of the cool "shrike commander" look, the engines are rotax running at 5 gph each.

Unfortunately, the price is around 650k, so it will be a while before my piggy bank can afford one.

Earlier I joked about not liking enough humans to need a PC-12. I do like enough humans to need more than the payload of that "Twin LSA" if I was spending that kind of coin.

For that money, finding a nice Aztec still leaves enough money in the Piggy bank to pay for the extra fuel and mx the rest of my life, even if the Garmin fairy pays a visit.
