Garmin Portable Question: When does the current database expire?

I am looking to update the database on my Garmin Portable, and I don't want to but it just to have a new one released in 3 days.

Can anyone with a current database tell me when it expires? (My estimate is that the new one is effective June 4th, so I should wait until May 28 to redeem the bundle, but I want to check to be safe)

They don't "expire," per se. There just becomes a newer version. Different data gets updated on different schedules, either 28 days, 56 days, or "as needed"

I understand that, but they do have an expiration date (even if it is not legally applicable because it is a portable) and based on that page, a new database is published 7 days before the expiration date.

I don't want to buy now, if waiting 5 days gets me something later, but if the one they are selling was published yesterday, then I don't have any reason to wait. But I have heard too many stories of pilots buying one time upgrades only to have it expire the next week to be willing to buy it blind.
