For the past month, I've been working on installing a GMA 345 audio panel, GTR 225 Com, G5 HSI interfaced to my existing GNX 375. I also sprung for the GAD 13 / GTP 59 temp probe.

So, as of late today, I finally got everything installed. Everything appears to be talking. Tomorrow, I'll run through the post-install and configuration checklist.

Question in the mean time - I'm reviewing the pictures I sent to my partners in the plane. The G5 isn't showing OAT  --My hope is that, without having run through the post-install settings, it's just not set to display, or more likely, is looking to have the magnetometer calibrated before displaying OAT. Can anyone confirm this? It will help me sleep a lot better tonight knowing I don't have to dig into the GAD 13's DB9 connector tomorrow to verify the pin-outs.

Hello Nathan...you need to go into the configuration of the G5 and set the "Outside Air Temp Sensor" to "Enabled" before it will display the OAT/Wind Data. That option is located under "Air Data" from the main setup menu. You also need to make sure your G5 is at least on version 6.4. The most current version is 6.6upload_2020-4-7_21-16-55.png

Excellent! Thanks. And I updated to sw 6.4 a week or two ago, so good to go there.

Thanks. I will sleep like a baby tonight :)
