ILS Approach plate disappeared but localizer still on en route?

IFR student, I using Garmin Pilot here, I was just looking to fly an ILS approach in MFSX simulator for KTYR runway 13 ILS, now I can not find the approach plate on SkyVector nor on my Garmin Pilot, I know there was an ILS there as I flew that approach multiple times in a sim.
I understand that ILS systems are more costly to maintain and they are being replaced by RNAV/GPS procedures, but the I-TYR localizer still showing in the low en route map pointing at runway 13, so if the localizer still there, why would they remove the ILS approach?
any ideas?

If a localizer has an enroute function, it will appear on the LEC. It looks like the localizer fixes INDOO.

The update cycle for enroute charts may not have caught up with a decommissioned navaid...

Well, the NOTAMS say it went unserviceable last August with end date this coming August. The LOM has been decommissioned. Looks like the chart has been removed - I'd be surprised if it comes back.

Ooops, read it quickly, you are correct, the LOM is out permanently, the ILS is out until August, no plate for it in FF (FAA plates).

FWIW, INDOO is also defined as a DME fix from the TYR VOR. Approaches have been updated to show the fix that way as the missed approach point.

Wow I'm really amazed an airport like Tyler would lose its only ILS.

Ahh, found the answer to my question here. A new one is in the works for the newer bigger runway. I'd guess it will be live soon.

ForeFlight is showing 6 RNAV and 2 VOR approaches. Too expensive to maintain. When they fail at an airport not heavily used by airlines, they are very slow to repair if at all. This is a great example for those wondering if it’s reasonable to install a WAAS GPS and forego the Nav radio.
