Pretty sure I have it. I’m not a fat guy, not skinny either, just getting older and noticing more and more symptoms. It’s starting to bother me and everyone around me! I’m in the process now of scheduling a screening. I currently hold a 1st class medical and would like to keep it that way. My AME doesn’t seem to be too concerned even if I am diagnosed. He says it’s an easy process but I’m not clear on what to expect.

My questions are basic. Just want to know what to watch out for? Any do’s or don’ts? Ways to save money due to high deductibles, etc? Anything to help smooth this process would be greatly appreciated.

Get a “home sleep apnea test”. About $300-$400. if the AHI is <5, you don’t have it.
If it’s >15 you do.
If between you’ll need the in hospital study....

don’t use insurance...you can eventually count it toward the deductible.....

There’s not an over-the-counter test is it? Your recommending an official home sleep test prescribed by a sleep clinic right?
