Last Friday I made a trip around the Veluwe. At the Veluwe, there is the Museum Kröller-Müller, which holds the second-largest Van Gogh collection in the world. It reminded me of the actor Kirk Douglas who played Vincent van Gogh in a 1950s movie. Kirk Douglas passed away on Wednesday, and his funeral was that Friday.

Watching the Oscars, Hollywood doesn't mint legendary actors like Kirk anymore. RIP Kirk, you were a legend.

The 182P is a perfect plane for me. She gets an honest 130-133 TAS down low and 160-165TAS up high with the turbos. She also has 3 major STC’s and a one of her kind plane.

* Rajay twin turbo-normalized
* Robertson R/STOL kit
* New Hartzell 3 blade Top Prop

The plane spent most of its life in Colorado and New Mexico. 8-9,000 ft density altitude performance at max gross is almost a no-brainer, with 1,200 lbs useful load. She’s great flying 15,500 to 17,500 over mountain tops at 4-5,000 AGL avoiding mountain waves.

The Rajay set-up has manual waste gates. With the wastegates open it’s a pure O-470R. Maintenance is low since local flights the turbo system is never engaged.
