I'm looking for cool places to visit over 50nm out of TKI so I can build XC time.
What do you all suggest?

Fly to Ruidoso, NM or Marfa, TX. Definitely >50nm.

Of course SEP for Hard 8 BBQ.

99 nm and the opposite side of the DFW metroplex.

I do like how you didn't put an upper limit... :D
Anchorage would be a fun trip - 2600 nm there and back should get you that 50 hours of XC...

Gotta throw in 50R and KAQO. Personally like 50R better than Stephenville. Other good places are 11R and Corpus / Galveston.

One of my objectives is to land at every neighboring state. So far, I've done a few landings in OK, but have yet to land in AR, LA and NM.
For NM, I was thinking Roswell and some place close to White Sands.

More than one person recommended SEP. It'll be good practice if ATC clears me thru Bravo on the way there. :) I have it on my list.

Also, Alaska would be a fun XC... hopefully in the future I'll have the time to do it.

Josh Flowers (Aviation101) usually goes to AQO and brags about the bbq there. I think one fun trip could be TKI-T82, visit some vineyards, spend the night, go to AQO, have lunch, get fuel (cheap) and fly back that afternoon.
