I haven't been drinking but I'm wondering if that is a good way to distract me under the hood during an approach.

If she looks like this then I say yes

Kidding aside, one would think that keeping one's hands to themselves is the appropriate thing to do as I am sure there are many other way to create a distraction... Hell, have me along as a safety pilot and you'll think you have ADDHD after the flight.. :eek::)

I had pretty good luck with asking hooded pilots to pick up a pencil or reach for a piece of paper...anything to get them to move their heads. Tickling has no connection to aviation and is a silly suggestion.

I’m just going to elbow you in the head by accident. Your ANR headset will protect you. LOL.

@Bill Jennings and I saw a CFI in the FBO a few months ago that I wouldn’t have minded getting tickled by.

“When will you declare missed?” Might be more effective.

Cheers

I used to do sim instrument work with an instructor. We disagreed on certain airport/community issues. He would start political arguments with me and the vacuum instruments would gradually going bad.

serious comment: in retrospect it was valuable.

Ice water. Super Soaker. Your right ear.

A good way to distract the pilot is by starting a conversation on a topic that the he has a strong opinion on.

Mine will put his hand on my ponytail and manually turn my head where it belongs because I have a bad habit of staring at the numbers when turning base to final instead of checking, then looking ahead.

@SixPapaCharlie --- Just remember....

Fun is Christy using just the feather on you....

But if she brings out the entire chicken..... (and I'm talking a live one, not George the Judgement Chicken)

Kinky is when you tickle your lover with a feather.
Perverted is when you use the entire chicken.
Sick is when your lover is the chicken.
