As we all know, the FAA changed the name of the A/FD publication to the Chart Supplement a few years ago (although the A/FD lives on, as a section within the Chart Supplement).

Does anyone have an old A/FD book that isn't too terribly greasy and dog-eared? I need it for a project and would be happy to pay you for it.

I probably have a couple - I'll check tonight. They will be North Central.

The A/FD has been called the chart supplement in Alaska for years, and was pink in color. I have never learned why it was pink.

I was around when the A/FD was part of the AIM.

I guess I lied. Mine is a chart supplement from 2016. I don’t think I have my AFD from 2003 back when I started. I know I kept it a long time but pretty sure it is gone now.

Oh well, I appreciate the effort.

I am not sure how old is too old or what version / date / area you are looking for, but if you want some older ones, 1995 and 2006, from SW, not in perfect conditions, see pics, I can send them to you. Contact me on private Email if you want them.

I found 4. I’d like to keep 1.

I thought I had more/newer, but these must have missed the recycle bin.

This is all I have. Not greasy and no dog-ears. May as well be new, because I don't think I've hardly cracked an A/FD open except during Private training for practice.

Don’t you need a cog screen and a lot of money to get your ticket with A/FD? Better call Doc Bruce!

The A/FD still exists. It's the main section inside the Chart Supplement publication. What changed was the name of the booklet itself.

Garmin Pilot made the Alaska Supplement obsolete years ago. :)

Looks like the run between $8...$13 on Amazon and free deliver with prime. It might be cheaper to do this than send mine in the mail LOL!

They sell old, obsolete A/FDs on Amazon?
Negative. I probably misinterpreted your request. I was thinking you wanted any A/FD and hence the suggestion for new shipped direct. I think you purposely want an older one. So the others seem to have you covered. Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah, I already have a new Chart Supplement. I need the old A/FD for a video we're working on. Many people think the A/FD no longer exists.

Here’s where I go to look at the A/FD:

As do many of us. But you may have missed he was looking for an old hard copy for a video project.

Here's a nice A/Fuel Dragster. They are one class down from Top Fuel. This one is fuel injected, running on nitromethane. They put out about 7,000 HP.

Ohhh, you meant the Airport Facility Directory. :D
