Yeah, yeah, I know, you were planning to sort the sock drawer and grout the tub, but tomorrow looks like fantastic VFR flying weather. I was thinking Flying Machine at KLZU around noon, but am open to other ideas. Anyone want to meet tomorrow?

I’d be up for it. The flight schedule is pretty full tomorrow, but if you didn’t mind having a hitchhiker, I’d be willing to split fuel and what not.

Chili cookoff locally here. I'll be otherwise gastronomically engaged and unable to attend.

I’m good for it. No transponder but unless my eyes are failing me, LZU is outside the C veil? Tower will probably have a fit though.

I’ve got a flight getting back to PDK at 2:00, so I’ll probably miss you guys.

If you have room for one more, I'm in. I already have the rental booked.

Just now saw this at 2am going through thread but didn't get a notice in my email even though I'm tagged. Won't be able to make it though.

@Ryanb and I are still planning on arriving a little before noon. We’ll hang for a while to see who shows up!

Thanks but unable. Hope there is a quorum.

If anyone comes in to the restaurant, we are sitting in the back left corner. Look for the guy in the rugby shirt! ;)

Did not get a notification, but it's moot. I won't be flying again until my PT for rotator cuff repair is completed in a few months. :-(

Looks like you guys were having fun, though.

It was a great day, glad a few of us could get together again!

oh and @Velocity173 - be careful touching that prop during pre-flight and hanging around the prop arc like you were...not a good place to be.

No transponder in a busy class D. Touching the prop on preflight. Amazing that I made out of there alive!

Good to see everyone. Hopefully I can get off for GMU.

You are certainly a brave man.

Hope you can too!

If you are near Atlanta, send me a PM. If I make it to GMU, I may have an extra seat.

I would have been there, but was flying back from Kansas. Finished my IFR in the am. 150 knots over the ground in a Cherokee coming back. Weather was awesome, seems very strange for a SE POA meetup.

Sorry I missed it. I just now saw the thread. How many showed up?

Oh and another one. Since you two were rushing me, I had make a “tight left base”...with no AoA device!

Um, yeah, and I’m sure that “tight left base” had nothing to do with the 30mi mode C veil. Lolz

Lol! Yeah, it’s like a stones throw away from the approach end. I was like, if he has me extend to follow you, I’m screwed. Not that tower would care though.

And here's what y'all missed tonight by going home

Was the banner supposed to say "Young At Heart Eagles"? Even I would be considered young in that crowd.

I'll get off your lawn now!

Seriously though, I do like the Young Eagles program and all us old codgers do for the whippersnappers.

I need to turn email notifications on, missed this! I was brewery hopping but would have definitely drove out there instead. Side note, whats the best way to see when events are being held for EAA? I'm trying to find more flying/pilot events around Atlanta to go to.
