I'm looking for another pilot to share operating expenses for a 1979 Grumman Tiger (AA-5B). The plane is currently based at KFME but I'd be happy to consider relocating to either KCGS or W00.

This is a nice Tiger with a recent Penn-Yan engine overhaul (160 SMOH in 2018), and brand new IFR avionics. Features include: GTN 650 WAAS GPS, dual G5 (AI/HSI) installation, GTX 345 with ADS-B in/out, JPI engine and fuel flow monitors, PMA 7000 audio panel, Century-1 autopilot. All logs complete. Vacuum system was removed with the dual G5's.

Since I'm planning to leave DC in a few years, an equity partnership probably doesn't make sense. But this is a good chance to have access to a fun cross-country airplane for a few years at a reasonable cost. Let me know if you are interested.

If you do that your plane will probably be a piece of crap when you come back in a few years!
People don't take care of stuff.

It sounds like he(she) is living in DC but is coming up for parole in a few years. I don't think he plans to leave the plane behind as a rental mule, this is to offset some expenses now while he is around and can keep an eye on things. If his non-equity renter leaves the plane a mess, he would loose access in a hurry.

Yes, that is the correct interpretation. I am not leaving my plane with someone else - just looking to share expenses while we both fly it during the next 2 years. After that I take it with me.

Given the number of transients and .mil folks , I would think there is someone for whom this would be a good option.

I am in the process of selling a partnership share. I got the most returns on traditional postings in airports around the area. A couple of pictures and little tear-off strips with my phone number. Forum postings and ads didn't do much.
