My favorite pie is seasonal. Apple and Strawberry/Rhubarb in the summer. Pumpkin, Cherry and Coconut/Banana Cream pie in the fall/winter.

All pies must be served with Vanilla ice cream.

Got to go, Pumpkin pie is calling my name..:)

Pumpkin has always been my favorite, but it has to be made right. Many of them seem to use too much nutmeg, which just gives the pie a bad bite.

Tie between Maple Pecan and Peanut Butter. Mostly, I love pie. Cake can pound salt. I make the odd exception for cakes that are so dense, moist, and chewy that they're kind of like pie. Meringue pies are useless. I guess, basically, I don't want to waste time eating air. Yeah... that's it.

Oh man, almost any of the classic fruit pies, really - apple is sort of king, and well made apple pie (with ice cream) sure does rock. I make a pumpkin cheesecake, not sure if that's really "pie", but it's darn good, though not my recipe.

If cobbler is a kind of pie, peach ranks up there - I live in the PA-MD-VA-WVA "orchard belt" - fresh peaches are easy to find, and allowed to ripen a bit at home, then "cobbled" make a great desert. Gotta get the liquid balance right, so it doesn't go soggy on you. I just made one with peaches from PA, from our local fruit and vegetable stand. Always reminds me of the Gettysburg Peach Orchard. . .

Odd fact - Alabama grows more peaches than Georgia.

I got a love/hate thing with Key Lime pie - love the first slice, but a little bit goes a long way. Sometimes you get one so sweet it's cloying.

I voted “apple”, but there is a caveat...
It must be DUTCH Apple..

From the list of pies so far (outside of my choice of pizza pie), picking a favorite pie is like picking a favorite child. They may all be somewhat different, but picking a favorite is impossible.

Apple and blueberry.

American Apple History... we once had 15,000 varieties.

Key lime! Once you've had an authentic slice, sitting at an outdoor table in Key West after a day of scuba diving, everything else pales. A bowl of conch chowder and half a pound of boiled shrimp washed down with a cold beer first, then the Key lime pie and accompanied by a cup of black coffee. HEAVEN!

Marionberry or any other dark berry was my other, although I can't think of the last time I had a slice of pie. Thanksgiving last year maybe.

Pumpkin is garbagefruit, fit only for carving hideous faces into and letting elephants stomp. I think even less of the resultant pie -- nasty. :D

(IMHO ;) )

French Silk is my favorite. I love cherry and apple pie too. Never been a fan of pumpkin pie but I love pumpkin bread and donuts.

It should be noted that pumpkins have no real flavor. I’ll happily eat pumpkin pie, but the pumpkin is just filler to hold spices that have nothing particular to do with pumpkins.

The farmers near Morton, IL where 90% of the pumpkin pie filling is grown thanks you for your business.

Pecan. Warm. And a genuine Uno's or preferably Due's pizza from downtown Chicago... Not the chain Uno's.. (but it's close)

On a completely unrelated subject, I just about fell out of my chair laughing as I sit here watching the Saints/Seahawks game. One of the color commentators off-site just said, "And now, back to Tony Romo and a .. wwwettt.... Tracy Wolfson." It's raining there, and she's down on the field...but still.....

Pound sand..

A proper carrot cake is delicious. Cream cheese frosting doesn’t hurt.

Apple and cherry are the two main favorites that I can get easily. After that it's Key Lime and then the king is Eagle brand Lemon....

I suppose they grow squash (butternut, hubbard, etc) too since those are commonly added to canned pumpkin pie filling.

Pumpkin with whipped cream but I would settle for a nice slice of blueberry.

Pecan pie is conspicuously absent from the poll. There aren't many pies or pastries that can cause me to deviate from keto, but pecan pie is one of them. Rhubarb is right up there too. And apple pie. Mmmmm.

Oh, and those little Hostess pies are super F da bomb too. Even the chocolate and vanilla ones. But apple for sure. And cherry.

^now wants to go on a pie pig out session.

Banana Cream Pie is all time favorite but also a sucker for a good Apple Pie

I checked them all because I love me some pie! For "other", pecan pie has to come in first for me behind a nice deep-dish apple pie. That said, sadly, I rarely eat pie because empty carbs give me a headache that lasts for days and I am not know for moderation in my vices so "just have a little bit" doesn't actually work for me. "Don't have any" I can do.

I think the only pie I don't like is cherry. Not sure why, but I suspect it's because very few people (I know I don't) make it with fresh cherries, it's usually from canned filling.

Other than that - blackberry is my current favorite berry pie, apple is my favorite fruit pie, and peach and blueberry are my favorite cobblers. Coconut, banana, and chocolate are my favorite cream pies. Lemon and lime round out my citrus pies. Then pumpkin, pecan, and mince pies take care of fall and winter for me. Pretty much any pid I've had will find a place somewhere in a list of "favorites".

Rhubarb is something I don't think I've ever tried, so I'll have to add that to my "pies I haven't tried yet but plan to" list.
