Does anyone know if/where airport identification code changes are published? I found that 5M3 changed to 53NH in the most recent WingX database that became active yesterday. It took me a while to figure this out after my attempts to use 5M3 failed.

Notams, but this change seems to have slipped publication. I suspect in the next Notam issue it will be published.

Yeah, I found that list when I searched. Some of the changes I recognized were quite old and it didn’t list the 5M3/53NH change so I’m not sure how up to date it might be.

I remember seeing moultonboro just changed a few months ago. They decided to go private. The owner said nothing will change from a pilots perspective though.

Thanks for that. Do you recall where you saw that information? I’m tied up there this weekend and as you said, no apparent changes since I was last there.

You can also subscribe to a crap ton of announcements like this from the FAA website directly. Also includes new call signs, rule changes, marketing material, you name it.

Warning. Filter them into a folder if you subscribe to “all”. It’ll rapidly have hundreds of unread emails in it.

I saw it on their facebook page, although I can't find the page now...

Looking at that list, it's curious that about twenty airports in Oklahoma lost their "OK" identifiers, at some point.

For example, OK01 was cool identifier. Sort of like "OK number 1"! But now that airport is just O13. That must have been a real bummer, to get demoted from "OK Number 1" to a boring looking identifier with an unlucky number.
