Gulf coast safe harbor

Really nice way to help other pilots; thumbs up. My plane had been sitting out on the ramp recently (my hangar is still unavailable after 10 months of runway construction), but I was able to move it an hour and a half away last week, so hopefully it'll be safe in the hangar there while we ride out the storm.

Just to add, many insurance companies will pay for the cost of relocating your plane from inside a hurricane zone to outside the zone during the storm, up to a certain amount. Mine was $500, which paid for most of my expenses for my wife and I to wait out a storm for 3 days in a hotel 2 states away.

16J in Dawson Ga has an abundance of tie down space. Anyone moving away from the storm is free to stop and tie down.

We have tie down ropes, but I always encourage folks to bring/use their own for best peace of mind (I know I trust my own rope selection better than someone else's !!)
