Injured in Paris, tramadol

hey guys,
I’m a 121 operator and I’m on vacation in France . yesterday i took a spill while rock climbing , I went to a doctor and he suspects a mcl strain and prescribed tramadol. Am I allowed to take this?

Thanks for this, I’m on vacation until the 15th of the month, so the 2 days shouldn’t be an issue. Just wanted to check that getting this wouldn’t somehow dq my medical.

If I understand it correctly, you can't fly for the next 48 hours. If you are on vacation and are not going to be flying for a few days, then take whatever helps. IMNSHO.
 
Personally, I avoid any pain drug stronger than Aleve. Tramadol has been widely abused, I'd certainly avoid it, as well as codeine and any other opiate/opioid, for something that will get better in a week or less.

. Take what the MD prescribed if the pain is that bad. If you’re that worried you can ask the MD for something else. Stupid to suffer if you don’t have to do so.
