Have a attitude indicator that wobbles on startup - takes about 15 - 20 mins to level out. Vacuum looks great - any other solutions but overhauling the instrument. If I have to overhaul it - know any place that’s NOT going to cost 1000+ In South Florida?

I don't think they are in FL. But AQI does a good job, for less that $1k. "Tumbled" AI that takes that long to right it's self probably needs overhaul. But you can check the hoses for leaks, anyway, just to be sure.

On startup today, same thing happened to mine. No prior issue. The unit was overhauled by the previous owner 6 years ago (and 300 hours on the tach since then). Is this about how long they are supposed to last between overhauls?

I've no clue how long they are supposed to last. My guess would be somewhere between 1 minute to 10 million hours. 6 years seems to be a decent run, regardless of tach time.

I heard about a place in Gainesville that will do it for $400. PM me if interested, and I will get you the contact info. Thankfully, my gyro came erect right after startup and worked perfectly on my last flight. For now, I am going to fly it and watch it carefully. This is more impetus for me to install the AV-20 I’ve been itching to get.
