Anyone here have a good electronic version of a checklist for a 182A? I'm flying my friend's plane and his grandson is wanting to start taking lessons in it. I was having him walk through the laminated checklist that is in the plane, but it's terrible. For example, it simply says to check the exterior of the plane! It also doesn't fit the plane exactly, since it mentions cowl flaps and other things the plane doesn't have.

I would like to find something I can modify or I can create my own if needed.

Isn’t it in the POH? Just would need to retype it?

The "original" checklists for 58 models probably don't exist. The entire AFM for a 58 Comanche is 10 pages, with 6 of that being W/B graphs.

Should be, but I'm not certain. I found one that gives me a head start on the internet. Re-typing it now and changing the parts I don't like. I keep checking here to see if someone is going to save me the work though!

We will wait until you are on the last line of the checklist you are making and THEN get you a copy. :D:D

@Lowflynjack

I have a custom checklist that I created, printed out and laminated. Send me a PM with your email and I'll send it to you. It's pretty comprehensive but I'd be interested to hear any feedback you might have . Always looking to improve!

I like it a lot Tim. I almost finished creating one myself! I'm printing yours now and will compare. Thank you so much.
Ok, I've gone through it and I like it a lot. I will change a few things, but they're nitpicking and I think most people will prefer your version! Nothing to improve.

I don't use the parking brake for starting, run-up, etc. I'm an old-school tailwheel guy and tend to avoid the parking brake at all costs!
Your FLOW CHECK BEFORE TAKE-OFF is pretty much the same as your BEFORE TAKE-OFF, so I would eliminate one of them.

Other than that, I'm going to copy yours if that's okay.

I don't use it either because it's never worked! ;)

also, one sheet is essentially blank and simply says "taxi diagram" (or something like that.) I paste this image onto that page. I have a cleaner copy on my laptop, this one is pretty blurred but the first one I ran across on the web just now.

definitely... that's why I posted it my friend...
