I have an announcement to make to all those guys at the Kentucky fly in who pm'd me warnings about Dave....serial killer...really? He's a pretty cool guy who didn't fall for my bait and switch at the bar yesterday* and is going to risk his life flying with me to Marana tomorrow. I'm even going to show him the bone yard...wait, that didn't sound right.

* I texted Dave and told him I was wearing a maroon shirt and golf hat and was waiting at the bar. (Picked out some old geezer regular who looked friendly enough yet weak enough not to kick Dave's arse if mistaken for someone else) Anyway Dave didn't fall for it. We'll see you guys in the morning.

In true serial killer fashion, I lure you in by being charming at first. :)

Great meeting you and looking forward to flying with you tomorrow and meeting the rest of the gang.

I promise not to post any pictures of you, so that maybe the next PoAer might fall for your bar gag. :)

Seems that mine was not the only Skyhawk on the ramp out there at Marana today ...

While we were there Austin noticed this derelict near the gas pumps:

He looked up the registration on the side and found it was one of these:

I loved the Starship sitting there near the runway. I recall when those were flying.
The Google Earth image shows there's actually four Starships crammed in there among those DC-4s and other hulks.

I would still like to find the arrows used for the mail flights. I've heard about them but I've never seen them.
