In the log entry screen, there is a boolean option called "Track Nav Aid".
What is this? And why would I care (or not)?
I cannot find any definition in the FAA stuff; and the Garmin help does not cover it.

It seems to be referring to IFR currency requirements.

If you are not instrument rated, don't worry about it. If you are, you should know what it means

I am IFR rated, and current. And I even asked a local CFII.
Note: There are separate entries for Approaches and Holds; which is what I track.

And what do you need to prove instrument currency?

And what do you need to prove instrument currency?
14 CFR 61.57 (C)

6 instrument approaches
Holding procedure and tasks.
Intercept and track courses.

To complete the instrument approach, you need to intercept and track a course excluding PAR approaches.

So if this is the intent of the field, why is there no reference to it?

I also cheat some, and do an IPC at least once a year...
