Why am I having to log in to You Tube every time

So I watch You Tube. In the past I would have to occasionally log in. But lately it is every time.
It does not offer a stay logged in option. I checked my setting and they appear unchanged. I did recently make DuckDuckGo my default browser.

Just a guess but your youtube login is also your google account and IIRC DuckDuckGo is all about preventing you from being tracked. Since google is kind of the ultimate tracker.... IDK man the pieces seem to fall in place for me.
