The past week or so, whenever I access AvWeb from my laptop or phone, the website either is down or takes a long time for the page to load. Other times, it loads up as normal. They say they had a Denial-of-Service attack and had resolved the issue, but it looks like the issue is still unresolved.

Anybody else still having issues accessing AvWeb?

It's unusably slow for me and some images don't load at all.

Their RSS feeds are still down (Error 1020 and "This website is using a security service to protect itself from online attacks.").

Either they're still dealing with the DoS attack or the defenses they're using are causing problems.

I was reading an article on it last night and now I can't get in.

I wrote them today and they replied with a link to their article that tells you nothing except that site was DDoS-ed. It's just pitiful that they can't fix RSS for this long, but it's how it is.

I was reading an old article on Avweb I had looked up and really wanted to read and couldn't finish reading it because it was late at night. I go back the next day and it's gone. Still not back up.

Yep, same here. I hope they get it all restored, because they really have a treasure trove of knowledge in their older material.

Thanks for the help. I had forgotten about Wayback. But I did have the URL saved so i pasted it in there and took out the 'flash' and replaced it with www and it doesn't have it archived. Gave me a choice to search to see if anybody had it archived and they don't.

http://flash.avweb.com/news/features/Big-Screen-IFR-Garmins-GNS-530-182453-1.html is the URL.
Looks like I was partially wrong about replacing the "flash."

Just take it out entirely along with the "http://" and it seems to work:

The RSS feeds are still down, but they did change something: there's no Cloudflare ID anymore, and site redirects to a page "unavailble". Also, they took down the comments for blog articles. What an amateur hour. Two months to fix the RSS feed!

Just checked an article I was reading when it went down. Still not up.
