Uh Oh....

I suggest you walk to the cupcake shop.

Not any more. Strictly Keto these days. :D

You shouldn’t be “strictly” anything, except human. “All things in moderation,” was some pretty good advice. From an evolutionary standpoint, humans are omnivores, and didn’t have restricted diets. Exercise, stay hydrated, and don’t overeat. That means don’t eat excessive amounts of anything, whether it’s nuts, twigs, berries, egg yolks, scrap metal, or lard. ;) Too much leafy green can be bad for you. Think about it.

Excess ketones can be just as bad for you as high glucose. (Betahydroxybutyric acid is often touted by Ketofreaks as being easier to burn than glucose.)

Strictly Keto until I reach my desired weight. Then I get my carbs back, in moderation.

Keto works, Atkins works, Weight Watchers works, Mediterranean Diet works, Raw Diet works, Fasting Diet works.

Know what they all have in common that also works and is more sustainable for daily eating?...reduction in refined sugars and highly processed foods. Simple.

Then Uber Eats delivers cupcakes and it is all back to square one!

That's what I did. Went from 240 to 175 into about 8 months. I have reintroduced carbs, but still make efforts to avoid them where I can and keep my weight down.

Lost 25 lb in 3 months, and lowered my BP and cholesterol. Best thing I've ever done for my health and my FAA medical. I don't see ever going back to carbs, but I am not strictly keto either. I do eat protein bars and other such things that have some carbs.

Or you could simply eat your maintenance diet for your desired weight, and you'll get to your desired weight.
