Who's going and who would thinks a PoA meetup would be fun?
Maybe under the wing of the DC-3?

 
Looking like the last two days for me.
 
Thinking about flying down commercial, not sure which days yet.
 
I'll be there, probably starting Tuesday or Wednesday and staying until the end. Will be camping on the field.
Looking forward to meeting other PoA members.

Also, I have signed up for two presentation (forums) which I will give on both Friday and Saturday. Would be happy to see you there if the topics interest you.

I'll be there. I'm staying in Orlando with family and plan to be there most of the week but have my SES training on Saturday and Sunday the 6th and 7th at Jack Brown's.

Definitely interested in both your sessions. I haven't shot a video since losing my go-pro on a flight to Mexico in 2016 but I still haven't edited the 5 or 6 videos I have from before that and the 1 or 2 videos I have edited are very very basic.

I also take it from your other seminar that you are a lean of peak advocate; me too. I was actually having a fun conversation with one of my school's CFI's about leaning procedures the other day and how so few instructors teach it which naturally brought up the question of how he leans... I asked him if I run 50 degrees rich of peak or 50 degrees lean of peak, what's the difference in temperature and he started telling me that rich of peak was cooler... Leaning is just so poorly understood by most pilots it's sad.
 
My wife and I should be there on the 3rd and 4th.

It's amazing how many people fall for this, isn't it? But the question is also an eye opener for many, who quickly realize that maybe they need to give this topic a second thought.

It's like what weighs more, a ton of lead or a ton of feathers? When I first heard of running lean of peak, my concern was that long ago I was told that running too lean can result in excess oxygen in the charge which at elevated temperatures (like the burning temp of gasoline) can start oxidizing things you don't want oxidized, like valves and stems. I talked about this with an instructor after being shown to run an engine lean of peak, after a short discussion about it I told him, you know what, you know more about this engine than I do, it's not my engine, I'll run it however you instruct me to run it. But I still wonder....
 
Planning to go. Not sure of exact dates - somewhat weather dependent. Hoping for arrival on Tue and departure on Sat morning. Camping with my newly purchased RV-6A. Went last year with a friend in a Beech Musketeer and camped in Vintage for 3 nights. It was a good experience, but this year, with a new airplane, a need for upgrading the panel, and much to learn, I'm hoping to take advantage of more of the courses and definitely spend more time with the avionics vendors than I did last year. I would love to meet up with some of the POA crowd.
 
I will be (finally) going to Sun N Fun this year. Current plan is to be there during the week and leave on the weekend. Looks like I will be manning the AOPA Pilot Protection booth Thursday 10-2 and I might wind up doing another volunteer stint somewhere.
 
This will be my first year heading down. My biggest question for those that have been recently, does GA camping fill up to where they turn people away (a la OSH last year for me) or can you usually get a spot?
 
I will be in on Thursday and Friday. Happy to meet up, (somewhere with food??)
 
I will be there from Tuesday to Saturday morning. I volunteer at Sun N Fun Radio and will be conducting live and recorded interviews with whoever I can find!

The radio station is east of the Sunset Grill, just west of the QB building, with a large porch around the front. Come on by!
 
Current plans are to be there Tuesday and Wednesday including the Wednesday night airshow. We are driving down as there are other things we want to do on the way down and in the area. I'd be happy to meet up with anyone there those days.

I have not camped there, but have been through that area the last several years, I don't think I've ever seen it full!

There are plenty of open GA camping spots no matter when you show up. The RV (recreational vehicle) camping gets quite full though.

Since I will fly in for the day Saturday, and maybe Sunday, no 8 hrs bottle to the throttle for me. I can be the designated pilot in everyones planes if they want to cruise the river or skipper a boat. ;)

Hey everyone. We’re flying down from Nova Scotia in a Cessna 177. Gonna camp on site i think and planning on staying all week. Look forward to it. It will be my first time at a big fly in. Maybe we can share some beers.

The general aircraft camping (GAC) has never filled up.. It's the best place to be in my opinion. The short wing piper group have always run the GAC, great folks!

We will arrive Wednesday and stay until Sunday. Unfortunately, we will be coming in our little motor home as that Damn tornado in KEUF took my bird of 33 years. I will be plane shopping whilst there! Wouldn't you know it, there's no aircraft auction this year! This will be our 34th year in a row of attendance! Hope to see all!
