Strike at 1:40... if you listen carefully someone busted Charlie before all poop hit the fan
 
I downloaded it, then watched frame-by-frame...the bird seems to drop almost straight down as it comes into view/hits the windscreen.

I've seen birds "drop" like that, as a way to get away from my aircraft, when I've flown towards them.

Which is why the advice I'd heard is that if you see a bird and are worried about hitting it, yank the plane upward.
 
The frames I captured occurred in less than .2 seconds, (.17 actually) from start to finish.
 
He never saw it coming. I think there's another video somewhere of a different camera angle from behind the right seat. If it is the same incident, and I think it is, you get an even better view of the impact. Scary stuff, for sure.

Edit: I just looked again, and it is not the same incident.
 
Heat job by the pilot. Hope they weren’t seriously hurt-saw some blood.
 
I'm glad my one bird strike was nothing like that. Great job by the pilot.
 
One heck of a closure rate. Must have been one fast bird.
