The original "I don't know it all" of aviation.
In the history of the exam, I wonder how many folks thought that "B" was actually correct.

And whenever Bryan starts doing his IFR training for real, I could see him sneaking this into his script for that video.

Like the blinking "Master Caution" light on his transponder.

Which temputure do you set it to, C or F.

I guess you could only fly when it was rather hot or cold.

My favorite ever is this one from the ATP test:

What is the effect of alcohol consumption on functions of the body?
A) Alcohol has an adverse effect, especially as altitude increases.
B) Small amounts of alcohol in the human system increase judgment and decision-making abilities.
C) Alcohol has little effect if followed by an ounce of black coffee for every ounce of alcohol.

Don’t laugh. There are altitude corrections on approaches for extreme cold temperatures.

Ok guys. Is the altimeter setting on the AWOS/ASOS/ATIS correct for temperature?

Next interesting question....

Correct answer is "A"

But my twisted mind wants to make this be something along lines of the robot overlords taking over. Or Skynet has finally awoken.

Who ever is writing these questions should be promoted, so someone competent can take over.

My impression of the knowledge test since my first one about 1990 has always been the same. It's a gatekeeper. They don't want you to waste your time and money, let alone a DPE's time if you can't get a 70 on a multiple guess test you prepare for by drilling all the questions and answers. Probably should keep away from things with moving parts.
