Garmin 155XL and GPS Approaches

anyone have any experience flying gps approaches with this equipment?
Is it paired with the CDI like the Garmin 430?

My 300xl is very similar to the 155xl and, yes, it's connected to a CDI. It does great shooting GPS approaches but, since it's non-WAAS, the mins are typically higher.

But, I also have a glideslope receiver so I have back-up.

Just to expand on this...if it isn't paired with a CDI, the installation isn't legal for primary navigation under IFR.

I sometime came across a 155, among others in my employers fleet. Never had a CDI.

They're good for VFR use as well, but if they were not installed with a CDI and annunciators, then they were never approved or legal for IFR use.

According to Garmin, it will work with a G5 for the CDI and AP functionality.
