I heard the cameras on those military P2006T's are worth more than the aircraft.

Nothin stellar but wife wanted to fly “somewhere” to lunch (great wife). So we flew from KGVL for a short flight to KRHP in Western North Carolina. Another state I can list I’ve flown to...5AE38D19-1DB0-4E10-8922-D98A85241FE1.jpegEB7246B9-9182-4B15-9F6D-81290F2F0794.jpeg52388AF2-2D99-4681-9E1D-0A46745011B4.jpeg

Flying with a friendly CFI in Kenya, leveling of at about 300 ft after takeoff to checkout an elephant, what a blast flying around Kenya was!

I flew right seat in a Caravan (passenger not pilot) for seven flights in Kenya years ago. One of my life's highlights! Had to twice low approach to run the wild game life off the runway. Pax were disembarked to jeeps with armed guards to take them to their game reserves. That area is the reverse of a zoo. You get caged in at night to protect you from the predators.

A nice ground speed at the end of a 4 day trip last week after taxiing around DTW for an hour and half waiting to get deiced.

Yepp - our home airport. There is a flight school at Mettetal - those students usually don‘t have any issues with short runways and cross winds...:crazy::lol:

Foggy morning in Arizona! Temp equaled dewpoint, and wind was calm, when I took off from GYR for Yuma. It rained last night, so the air was still pretty squishy -- enough that I got a good shot of carb ice (with a Lycoming O-360) at 70% cruise at 4,500' half an hour into the flight.

A couple of shots from the Chili Bowl Nationals Midget Car racing in Tulsa this week. If you've never seen dirt track Midgets or Sprints you're missing out. Most entertaining four wheel motorsport racing out there. You won't see more race cars upside down in a single evening. And some of them get back in the race after being flipped back upright.

2nd Lap, Feature Race, Tuesday night.

Chili bowl is definitely on the bucket list. A few guys from work went out there. Maybe one day...

The life of a pilot is so hard..........
I had to fly this to go pick up the Cub this morning.
It's a 1951 L-19. It belongs to my latest partner in crime, Jonathan.
Flew it up to the Cub, flew the Cub for a little over an hour, then flew it back home.
It was brutally cold in the Cub.
The L-19 has heat.
You Americans are so decadent.
