Who on this forum would you choose to fly with?

Glenn I did a bad thing the other day. I went up with the Border Patrol on one of their AS-350s. I want to get my rotor add on now.
My old bird. I feel sorry for these guys that knock helicopters. They don't realize that runways are made for beauty queens and real pilots land on helipads. Now that I have ****ed almost everybody off here...........

We'll have wait until the weather changes. It is clearly not the time of year for VFR flying around here. :D
When there's ice, I've noticed that this may not be the time of year for IFR flying up there!

Ain't that the truth? I used to say that flying helicopters make airplanes seem boring by comparison, really just as a way to say how much more fun they are. But it tends to be interpreted as a put-down. Shoot I LOVE flying airplanes. But I lust for rotors. Even I think it's goofy that if I see one flying overhead I stop and watch it until it's out of sight.

So many aircraft categories, so little time. (And money!)

You guys can fly with Greg or me any time you like. They sell the tickets at all the major travel sites. LOL

I’ve been on a United jumpseat (or in the back) many, many times. You guys have always been great. I just hope we’ve been able to repay the favor with equal hospitality!

I think the two things that surprised me going from airplanes to helos was the incredible responsiveness and incredible visibility. Makes all the difference in flying. Unfortunately, that comes at an incredible cost.

  • Evil Eagle. In the taxpayer's airplane. I want to go straight up, while accelerating, just once before I'm gone.
I'll put you on the list!

(the list includes everyone I've ever met at an airshow, all my friends and family and every non-Eagle driver pilot I know that found out what I do for a living) :D

**honored to be mentioned in this crowd though**

Well since Im a Navy / USMC fan I’d go with @35 AoA and a back seat in a Super Hornet. I’d throw up but I’d still do it.

If any of you could withstand the awesome air-rending power of drone flight without being instantly knocked unconscious I would fly with any one of you.

Unfortunately, only a select few pilots are worthy or capable of being in a certain radius - that's why the safety vest says "stand clear!" on the back. ;)

there's only ONE person on this forum that I absolutely would NOT fly with. and that person is...………………….eh, that wouldn't be right, plus it'll be more fun to just throw that out there.

I would prob fly with anyone who didn't want a$$ or gas.

I wouldn't advise flying with me after a grilled stufft burrito.

I'd fly with about anybody. @EvilEagle would have to be high on the list due to the badassery of his ride. @Fearless Tower would be up there due to the badassery of his ride. There are many though.

Kinda want to ride with @eman1200 just so I can see how he accesses the coke dropping hatch in flight.

You beat me to it.
But I have flown with Henning.
His comments that he would take out more people that Andreas Lubitz, and that he would be doing them a favor, pretty much put me off of that idea.

Amen to that. But VFR is easier, just follow the advice of Gordon Baxter's card - "When color matches sky, fly!"

Been there, done that and anyone who has a chance, you’ll never forget it:D. Not to mention pulling 5 G’s in the pattern like Mav or 7 G’s in DACM or getting your Mach 1 pin or a carrier landing/trap or anything else in a current fighter:cool:

Sign me up again even though I’m well into Geezerhood.

Cheers

I’ve never gotten a Mach 1 pin. What do I have do to for that? :D

I’ve only been supersonic about 1400 different times.

I expected that.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
A couple of decades ago my kid brother used to fly '18s. He gave me a similar answer back then too. :D

Well finally found a bit of time on a quiet Christmas morning to further my list. In no particular order:
  • @Ted DuPuis; in his plane and then in my twin, the former to observe and the latter to learn.
  • @Mtns2Skies; who's passion for tailwheels in his posts had more influence than he knows to get me off my azz and motivated to Just Do It.
  • @Pilawt; an excuse to see his multi-story library in person. :eek2:
  • @flyingcheesehead; just to prove two BIG guys can fit in a Mooney, at the same time. :happydance:
  • @Grum.Man; so I can say I rode in the world's fastest egg with a slider canopy.
  • @Timbeck2; who owns the Cherokee I wish I had, when I had my, um, cosmetically challenged 160.
  • @GeorgeC; who wouldn't want a ride in one of the prettiest Cessna 140s around?
  • @Shepherd; motorcycles, taildraggers and grass strips, does life get any better?
  • @pigpenracing; to see how he copes with the ultimate dilemma..."What airplane should I fly today". :dunno:
  • @SixPapaCharlie; who gets to fly a convertible with the top down whenever he wants (yes, we are envious). :hairraise:
  • @Checkout_my_Six and @JOhnH; who just might convince me a Bo is the answer after all.
  • @James331; No politics, just runways that splash, and maybe some good fishin' off the floats.
  • @RudyP, @Tantalum, @jordane93; who give as good as they get with the Cirrus bashers, I really want to experience how high and how fast one of those remarkable SR22Ts can fly!
  • @nauga; who can explain to me, while I am captive in the back seat of the RV-4, in understandable terms why Bernoulli was wrong (or right?). :confused2:
  • @Let'sgoflying!; What could be cooler than going from wood to plastic?
  • @Velocity173; I just have to get at least one ride in a canard pusher.
  • @Twin_Flyer and @Radar Contact; at the risk ($$$) of being convinced I REALLY NEED to upgrade to a 310 (and a checkerboard hangar floor).
  • @hindsight2020; in my plane, in a self-serving attempt to add another twin owner to the fold.
  • @Stewartb and @Zeldman; but it has to include a landing and takeoff on an Alaska glacier.
  • @denverpilot; who shares my view that one should run their trucks till the wheels fall off, and devote the money to aviation instead.
  • @Sac Arrow; I'll bring the donuts.
  • @Everskyward; even though the wings are now vertical and the main spar is a mast.
  • @eman1200, @OkieFlyer, @Dave Theisen, @Bill Jennings, @AggieMike88, @Katamarino and everyone else I have missed 'cause y'all seem like you know how to enjoy life, have a great time and make those around you laugh (wish I wasn't so far from Kentucky)! :cheerswine:
Finally, would love to have @Dan Thomas, @Bell206, @Tom-D, @bnt83 and @alfadog in my hangar to consult when I am hung up on yet another maintenance or avionics issue with the ever demanding Aztec. Might have to hire a referee though. :fingerwag: @Ted DuPuis?
