Daily Pic

Was looking at your Mooney today. More delays I hear. So goes aircraft ownership. My Velocity is in there now for a gear faring issue.

Yeah, 1st ground run showed the digital tach didn't register proper RPM, he pulled it and sent it to the manufacturer to be reprogrammed for the two individual mags. Also, the something with the Gami injectors. He's anticipating another ground run mid next week.

Here's my flight to verify that my newly installed ADS-B setup is working correctly. Lots of lazy circles and climbs/descents over Ontario's Class C. Had to do this twice because I had an incorrect setting on the transponder at first. Nailed the PAPR...no red boxes!

Whats the story behind Rialto. Between it and Riverside I learned to fly. Sad to see it go.
Though not all fond memories, the winds were something fierce during santa-ana wind events.

Edit. Guess this is a pic thread, don't have any airplane ones but I bent some metal at work recently so I guess it'll have to do.

I'll have to look closely next time I fly over. I remember seeing buildings on at least half of where the runways were, and I'd bet it's totally developed by now. I'll see if I can spot it on Google Earth.

Yeah, those Cajon Pass winds can be brutal. I flew up and down that way from Cable on every flight for my 40 hours of Phase 1...some of the nastiest turbulence I've experienced. But now I know my plane will hold together!

Just looking at that map gives me anxiety. Just don't think I could live anywhere with that much population density.

Yep, just me and my 10 million closest friends. :D

I guess it's all what you're used to. I can't imagine living in a rural area.

They are harder to pull that way.

And there is an awful lot of density among that population ...

Flew down to Santa Cruz for a work meeting a couple days ago - it was the first time since passing the private checkride in May that I’ve actually had a proper mission (as opposed to just cruising around Northern California for fun).

Nassau Bahamas - made emergency stop for an accident. The crew was asking for blood donations from passengers, so it must have been really bad. I never found out if the guy made it out alive, or if they just dropped off the body. Fingers crossed....

First time in St. Maarten. Beautiful place.

Snorkeling, planes, and beers on Airport Beach. What a blast! (literally....the fence is intense) Only got a couple pictures, but lots of video. You've seen enough on YouTube already though :)

Met up with the Jason Schappert and the MzeroA gang and had some drinks. There was about 15 pilots in the group. A good time was had by all..

The colors were amazing! Most of these are right in Southern CT and over the Long Island Sound. It’s flights like these that make me realize how beautiful this part of the world is!

Last time I flew with this FO he was a brand new CFI and I was giving him a checkout in a 172. Look at us now! Combined age in the cockpit was younger than most of the people on the flight:D LGA-PIT
