Thanks to Lance it looks like I will be joining you all in Greenville. And once again the blonde is not going to be there :D

where are all my crack weather experts??? :D

way early forecast calls for %50 chance of rain....

I will be on a ferry permit so I will have to pass on any diversion.

Bet the weather changes before Saturday. We don't understand weather well enough to forecast that far out. A week ago, we were forecast for sunny and warm today.

More than likely it will change, but as of now, it’s not looking too promising.

<imagine that>

oh i agree... but yet somehow folks get paid to tell us every night at 11pm a forecast.. lol..

Too busy shoveling snow.

I hope the weather works out. I was looking forward to the flight in the newish airplane.

and to think i use to do this growing up in NY for $$$... in Laurelton, Queens, i’d charge $10 for regular homes, $20 for corner homes... ahh, the days...

What are you doing that for?

Let it go, it's a proven fact that it will melt on it's own.
I wasn't referring to me, but to the "crack weather experts". If I had to shovel I'd move further south.

Of course, it would melt away faster back in Colorado.

Will monitor the forecast throughout the week. If we don't get a change in weather, than I'll throw out some alternate dates to vote on for a meetup around the first of the year.

Keeping fingers crossed! :fcross:

Never got notified. Just ran across it. Plane all booked up both weekends.

That’s what happens when you go M.I.A for so long!

:fingerwag:

And I just got notified of this post. lol.

I don't get notifications a lot from threads I'm subscribed too. Just seems to quit working for a thread after awhile.

I’ll probably go regardless. You guys gotta get that instrument rating going.

^ This.

Plenty of people have said it before, and I'll repeat it, "the IR is a game changer". It's not "100% going", but "going more often and closer to the planned time".

If it's didn't fall on the day of our Christmas party I'd be going too.

I'm out now. Due to snow canceling work on Monday they are making everyone work Tuesday through Saturday.

No guarantee this time of year. I've heard there's something called ice that happens in clouds at certain temperatures.

Definitely will be monitoring the freezing levels for saturday. If enough people commit and the weather works for IFR there and back, I will be there...

Maybe we should just shift it to Sunday. Weather looks good and I don't have to work :)

Yes, I'm cautious of ice. But most of what Mother Nature deals out can be handled IFR. In any case I've got 2 students and 2 POAers coming with me. Hopefully we're not the only plane there.

I'm close enough I would probably drive if I couldn't fly VFR.

Is there an arrival time set? 11:30 perhaps.

Planning for a 12p arrival. If it’s a go, will plan to be wheels up here by 1030.

I plan to be there by noon as well..

Freezing levels and icing forecasts should be available mid friday... if gmu is a bust, will take the admiral.. aka the wife to N. Myrtle for some seafood..

Figures. About the time I think I can manage to make it is about the time every else bails.
