Bit of a rant here. I just got my iPhone Xs Max and it is buggy.
Yesterday I had a Dr's appointment. While waiting I tried to play a solitaire game to pass the time. The screen kept locking up. I tried to send emails and had lockups while attempting to compose the mail. It shouldn't be a memory issue I got the 512GB model.
The latest updates are installed. Bah humbug I'm a bit PO'd. This thing cost an arm and a leg.

Is anyone else using this phone? If so any terouble?

Reviews sadly for the new Xs and Xs Max have indicated that they are very problematic and even have major charging and battery issues. Not worth buying sadly. If you can take it back get the XR or even a reconditioned X, much better phones.

I have X and no issues. My wife as the Xs and it is as you say glitchy. Hopefully it’s worked out in an update.

I’ve been using the Xs Max for about two months now and haven’t had any trouble.

Are you on the latest version of iOS? If not, I’d check and see if you have any software upgrades available. Not being up-to-date with the current iOS can contribute to those problems.

I just got the X a month ago. No issues.

I found the screen freezes were caused by my palm touching the screen as well as my finger. I had used an Otter Box case with my previous phones and found the phone much easier to hold and use. I've got big hands and must be clumsy. Otter Box on order for this one.

As others have stated, I just got an X and it has run flawlessly. And for me, ForeFlight is great with the larger screen.

Think they different manufacturers chips, though the performance didn’t really change, between the X and the Xr/X/s/etc

My X has been great...though I hear it’s $300 if I drop it.

I know someone who dropped a phone
10d ago and then the new one, midweek. Probably need to come with a tether!

So,what your saying is bigger isn’t better?

Picking nits ... the actual memory is 4 gigs, the 512 is the storage, still shouldn’t be any problem from a bottleneck perspective. I have X and it’s working great and I am planning to upgrade to Max for a bigger screen

I really like FF on the Max.

It all started with the panel. Now it's the phone, the garage.....next it's the TV, and soon an RV-10.
I thought everything was supposed to be bigger in Texas, not Fargo. ;)

I have a thing for big “things”

Lots of reports on iOS 12.1.1 breaking 4G wireless and a few other issues. Not exactly a carefree user experience.
