We lost a real American hero today

Probably the greatest President in my lifetime so far, even though I wasn’t of age to vote when he was in office.

A good and decent man, and a life well lived.

The photo below was taken on 11/4/1991, at the dedication of the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, in the Library's replica of the Oval Office. It was the first time five Presidents (and six First Ladies) were ever together. Now, of all those in the photo, only Jimmy and Rosalynn are still with us.

 
Time marches on, and waits for no one.
 
The first President I voted for. He didn't win that race. I didn't realize how much of a real Gentleman, full of Grace, he really was until recently. What a great honor to know a bit of his history.
 
Only president’s hand I’ve ever shaken. Ok, it was 1980 and he wasn’t president yet, but still ...
