En-Route
So, I'm in the midst of finally purchasing an airplane. I've arranged for an extensive prepurchase (as soon as the weather cooperates) this week at a MSC. I've been spending a lot of time researching its history and have even reached out to a couple of the previous owners. I found that the airplane was owned for 42 years by a fellow named George Myers and his wife, Shirley. Researching further I found that George passed away in 2012 and Shirley sold the plane in 2013. I even found this photo of George sitting in the airplane I'm buying...With that info and after researching the FAA records, I thought I had a pretty good picture of everything, except I hadn't been able to find Shirley to see what info I could glean from her.
I'm mostly curious about any corrosion protection that may have been done when the interior was replaced in 2011 (There is a note in the log that seems to indicate that something like that might have been done). Then, I came across this little nugget of info that set me back on my heels...
