This list looks at another aspect of airline safety--fatalities. From Plane Crash Info, airlines which have never had a fatal accident (before Southwest's first fatality). On this list, there are several foreign carriers, and five (5) Asian carriers:

The NAACP issued an alert Tuesday warning black travelers to use caution if they decide to fly with American Airlines because of what the organization described as a "pattern of disturbing incidents reported by African-American passengers" over a period of several months.​

That list is AFU.

Aside from Southwest, Pinnacle and Swiss have had fatals. Probably others too. I mean crap....Swiss lost a whole freakin’ MD-11 full of people.

You can’t believe everything you read on the internet.

Air Tran changed their name from ValueJet. Marketing decision. They put a deep hole in the Everglades. This list is BS.
 
Cape Air. A guy I worked with, his wife was on a cape air flight sitting right seat, Cessna 414, when pilot went into diabetic shock. She bellied in the airplane.
The pilot somehow hid his diabetes. They gave her a trophy made from one of the bent blades. I think she worked security for cape air in Mass.

That is part of the problem with the problem with the list. Technically, Swiss is a different airline than SwissAir - it was SwissAir that lost the plane off of Nova Scotia (a flight that I took often enough...). SwissAir went under and was reconstituted as Swiss.

But much of the infrastructure and people are the same. I think the old SR should be wrapped in somehow, but it's seen as a new airline. The list assumes that a 5 year old airline is better than a 50 year old airline that has old fatals. Should an old Piedmont or Allegheny fatal be counted against AA, which has both back in their corporate tree? Or should the Piedmont crash 40 years ago be counted against the current Piedmont, which is a separate entity that is a subsidiary of AA?

These are valid points, though some of these are answered in the entirety of the article. I only posted an excerpt which doesn’t tell the whole story.

But you are right in that even if you read the whole article, some questions do still remain.
 
Era Alaska existed only for a few years They are currenly called Ravn Alaska, and were previously Era Aviation. They have had fatal accidents during the time when they were called Era Aviation, during the perioid they were called Era Alaska, and during the period they have been called Ravn. They have been under NTSB scrutiny for a looooong time. BS list is BS.

Ok so we’ll avoid pinnacle, Swiss, EraAlaska, Southwest, and AA.

Good thing we can fly ourselves in America.

In Europe, we will just have to drive, except England because left side is crazy; and who wants to go anywhere in Alaska LOL so they can have hybrid cycles.

We can all breathe easier once we get to Asia, or at least until the impending one-world government, when we can have a single carrier, Hainan Group.

I’m going to make my airline choice based on paint schemes.
