Iphone login fail

Anyone having trouble logging in with their phone?
I can log in seamlessly with my laptop but the iphone login results in a rejection of my username, plus my email, and I cannot reset my PW using the iphone. But here I am on the laptop.
Yes I know my UN and PW; my laptop browser displays them and I have carefully typed them in on the phone.
I have closed all apps then rebooted the phone.
Is there 'clearing cookies' on an iphone or other enema-type action that might help?
Hate to see it as I use the phone a lot to read the crucial info on POA.
Noteworthy: I have NEVER been able to log onto the red board using my iphone.

Edit: Chrome fails too.
 
I haven't had any problems, Dave. I just logged out and logged back in on my iphone without issue.

It will accept my email login today but not my moniker. So it’s mostly working.
I’m probably doing something really stupid.

You may find it's the single quote in your user name. I had the same problems on a couple of sites where the iOS was unable to log in, and I have the same problem with this site. Removing the single quote from my user ID fixed it on the other sites. Those who know me on purple may have noticed that I'm listed as "Capn" without the single quote mark.

I tried it just now without the ' but same rejection.
Next I also removed the ! but still no happy.

I'm sorry- I didn't explain it well. I asked the moderators on the other sites to remove the ' symbol from my user ID. That allowed me to log in from iOS.

I apologize for the confusion.
 
I have a feeling that the default apostrophe on the iphone is different than it is on the computer.

You can choose your apostrophe by holding down on it for a moment.

So you're either going to have to choose the right apostrophe or ditch it altogether (I'd change your username). Hope that helps!

Yes, that works (choosing a different quote). I just logged-in via iPhone using the vertical quote (whatever it is called...prime? ).

well no, I tried all 4 apostrophes and still get username not recognized.
I am using my email to log in.
Crazy that I've used that log in on the phone for ages. In fact safari offers it as the past login (it remembers it from past uses) [and it would not accept that so I have been typing each figure in]

I assume you'd rather deal with it the way that you are vs changing your username?
