So, you quote a post then change your mind. Cancel or hit previous page, then come back some time later and the quoted post is still hanging around in your quote locker ... how to remove it? Or just ignore and it will go away eventually, kind of like those annoying F-16s on my wing and 6?

Click on “Insert Quotes” and then at the top right corner click “remove”.

Thanks. Figured there had to be an undo button somewhere!

oddly enough, someone pointed out that if you hit the SAVE button, you can 'un-save' the draft. can't imagine why I never thought to hit save to not save something.

Windows logic ... Click START to shut down...

Ok, so I tried the suggestions and have to ask "Say again?" ...

Click on “Insert Quotes” and then at the top right corner click “remove”.
Remove is available BEFORE I actually include the quote, but if I change my mind at that point, nope - no "remove" ... and no "save" (if I go into Edit mode, then "Save Changes" appears).

Over half my posts are smart aleck remarks that I think better of after I've quoted but before I've hit Post Reply.
No harm, no foul - it's just odd to see the Posts to Quote buffer hanging out, waiting to remind me of something snarky that's better left unsaid (or Clark already said it :D ) until it finally times out and goes away.

How many are you deleting? (I'm running about 65% decline to post rate, which is why the draft thing used to bug me until Everskyward explained it to me)

Meanwhile the stuff I write and then delete cracks me up. Come to think of it, I can probably type out all my clever replies, laugh, delete them, and never post again.

But I'm not that nice.
