Hey guys, I am new to this forum and I need some help/advice. I did do a search on this forum and on google before asking on here but I haven't really found anything to assist me. I recently applied for a second class medical certification for the first time and got the letter back from the FAA requesting additional information from my doctors on a couple conditions I have a history of, and a medication that I haven't taken for almost a year. My only problem is that I separated from active duty military in late December, so I currently am uninsured (insurance should hopefully be coming soon), and also don't have any current treating physicians for these conditions. I did try and call the Naval Medical Center for one of those things and they were not able to help me as I cannot be seen by them anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do for this to be able to get cleared? I am currently about halfway into that 60 days required by the FAA and I know I can request an extension from the FAA, but I am trying to get into school and need that certificate to do so. I had also already begun flight training for my Private Pilot License so I am kind of at a standstill at this point because of this. Any help or suggestions/advice would be very greatly appreciated. Thank you!
