I just checked the weather for the week...Thursday and Friday are looking a bit chilly: highs (?) in the negatives here in Michigan.
Having a high temp in the negatives is like saying “affordable airplane”, “government intelligence”, “jumbo shrimp”. Lol.

tawood, got any cold cases we can help solve?

It was - 13 this morning here in central Indiana. I’m not looking forward to my next gas bill as my furnace has been working overtime to keep up with the cold. Stay warm out there!

Unfortunately, I have a bunch. My cases become like my children to me...I refuse to let them go! Most of my cold cases have just reached a dead end. I put them aside, and every now and then open them to see if I've overlooked anything. The ones that haunt me are the ones that I've figured out "who dunnit" to my satisfaction, but not the prosecutors/courts satisfaction. I've got this one that I've carried for 3 years. I know perfectly well who's responsible, just can't prove it. It's a twenty-year felony, but it is for something completely ridiculous: a guy was angry that they were building a heavy-traffic business next door to him, so he made a bomb, and blew up the construction site porta-potty. It was at 2 am, but I even have a video of him going in the potty to plant the bomb, then the potty blowing up (he used WAAAAAY to much explosives, btw). Blew the door to the porta-potty several blocks.

did you try using a pyrolysis gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer? that's how they solve all the forensic files cases.

Ha, no...I did try for DNA on the remnants of the bomb...got nothing but my officer's DNA that didn't handle the evidence right (unfortunately, that dummy's DNA is in about 5 of my cases).

Density altitudes are impressive. It was -6000’ in Iowa on New Year’s Eve.

It's winter folks. Stop whining or move to a warmer climate.

If anyone sees me whine about Arizona in summer, you have my permission to slap me silly.

;)

Arizona in the summer.... just move from one A/C building to the next one.....

Alaska in the winter, just move from one heated building to the next one......

We've been between 10 and 25°F for the last several days. Wind chill in the single digits to slightly below zero. I know that's not as cold as many places, but it's moist windy cold that cuts right through your clothes and into your bones. Brrrrr.

Love it!!!

Temps are going down in Florida, just as I’m about to go south.
